I’ve been blogging regarding making money online ever since 2013. A single question I get asked constantly is exactly why did you starting out the blog over other programs to make money.
Right now I’d love to make clear the key reason why making a blog is my #1 Suggestion and then why I at first made the decision to travel down this route.
Allow me to first make it crystal clear that running a blog is not the sole legal method to make money online, based on your very own skills along with the earnings you’re seeking; there’re various other methods to earn money from home.
In the following paragraphs, I’m heading to share why I started running a blog as well as the benefits I saw intriguing. Running a blog may not be the ideal match for you, however, understands if you’d prefer to earn money online, you must be willing to work!
Let’s get started, here’s a bit about how/why I started blogging and I’m still a few years later.
The Story Of Why I Started Blogging
Five years ago, I was looking for a legitimate way to make money online. I just get divorced and need a job that will allow me to stay at home with my 3 kids. At that time I used what I call “additional income websites” for 2-3 years and earned about $ 50 extra per month, but I was not satisfied with that income.
I’ve tried different programs and products from internet marketing gurus and always ended up losing money or completely cheated. I knew that making money online requires work; I had trouble finding a method that works.
Then, 2 years ago, I came across a website called Wealthy Affiliate. It has taught me that creating websites and writing content (blogging) is legitimate, and it has also shown me how to do it.
Since I joined, I’ve started a few websites and I’ve been fortunate enough to drive traffic to every page and earn money with each one.
Benefits Of Blogging Over Other Programs
To Make Money Online
Now that you understand why I started blogging, I want to cover some of the benefits I started with and why I blog even till today. Of course, these are not all the benefits, but they are the ones that stand out in my head and helped me jump on the idea of blogging.
1. I Am My Very Own Boss
My favorite part of blogging is that I’m my own boss. This means that I will configure my schedule; I’m responsible for every part of my business and I can get all the benefits.
Ensure you learn how to start today!
Of course, it is not right for all persons to be the boss. I liked the idea of not informing or giving reports to other folks and being responsible for all aspects of my own business.
If the business is successful, it is for me, but it also means that if everything fails it’s just you. For me, your own boss is an advantage that gives you a lot of freedom!
2. Great Income Potential
It’s indeed no secret that blogs have a high-income potential, but they require work. Most of the blogs do not earn much money.
Fortunately, I knew from the beginning that I would have to work hard if I wanted to blog for a great income out there. It will not be fast, but if it continues over time, your income will rise. Who knows how much you can do in 4-8 years!
3. Passive Income
One of the biggest benefits of blogs, in my own opinion, is passive income. Let me explain it. When I use a survey website, I have to do surveys over and over again to earn an income. With a job at home, I have to register and produce more and more work to get paid.
With blogs, I can sit down in a few hours and write a review. Once this publication is published, it can be presented in Google, become viral and, hopefully, generate traffic for my website forever. Using just a few hours in a blog post could actually bring me a lifetime income.
Some of you may think that does not happen, but I have hundreds of reviews that drive traffic to my blog site every day, either from search engines, direct traffic, or social networks. The two hours I spent writing a review make me earn money every day and I will continue for many days in the future.
4. I Can And Do Help People
Honestly, I should have that first on the list, because if you do not attend to help people, you will never be successful. Here in this blog, I help moms to find legitimate jobs in their home, additional income programs, and you will find a lot of tips for social media.
If I was not in the business to help people, nobody would come to this blog and would never object to what I have to say.
It’s amazing that I can help people make money online; fortunately, I can also make an income from it.
Disadvantages Of Blogging
I would not do my job if I did not cover some of the disadvantages of blogs, which are inevitable in most cases.
1. Start With An Income Of $0
The biggest disadvantage of blogs is that you do not get anything at the start off. The day you start your blog, you’ll make $ 0 and most likely for a few months (unless you already have a source for traffic, an existing blog, a social presence, and so on). It could take several months to generate a steady income every day.
This is only one part, but it is a disadvantage compared to a job in the home, where you have a constant salary.
That’s why most blogs start as a secondary hobby and become a full-time business.
2. It Does Not Happen Fast
This goes along with the start without income. If you spend time and work, you will see results and your income will continue to increase. In almost all cases, however, this does not happen quickly.
If you work on it, you can easily increase your blog’s monthly income, but do not expect to see from just $0 to a whopping $10,000 in 3 months.
3. Does It Cost Money To Start?
Blogs have very low initial costs compared to starting an offline business. But it requires you to spend a few dollars in advance to get started.
The necessary expenses are a domain and hosting. Generally, you can start for less than $20 a year.
4. It’s All On Your Shoulders
Of course, if you have financial resources, you can outsource much of your blog work, but most do not spend money immediately. That’s why the whole business is on your shoulders. For some, this is a big advantage, but for others, this can be a big problem.
If you are not responsible and have enough discipline to get you to work, you will never achieve it.
How To Start If I Want To Blog?
To be honest, there are now so many resources that can teach you how to blog, but there is one that I can recommend to anyone else. The program is referred to as a Wealthy Affiliate; the great program I found for the very first time that taught me how to properly create a blog, grow an audience as well as make money from it.
If I had not found the Wealthy Affiliate out there, I would never have gotten where I am today and also would increase my income online all the time!
One of the reasons I highly recommend this Wealthy Affiliate is that they allow you to join for free, do a few training with them, and try it out before you make a financial commitment. For more information about the process, visit Start A Website, or maybe you can right now open a free Wealthy Affiliate account without wasting time.
Lastly, if perhaps you enjoyed my story and understood why I started blogging and I highly recommend it! If you have questions or concerns, feel free to leave your comment.
