What Is The SeneGence International? Another scam EXPOSED?

Sharing is caring!

Welcome to my SeneGence International review and a little story about beauty industry!

Well, there is literally no end to beauty, cosmetics, and the personal care industry. This industry is ever-growing and will continue to do the same always.

More and more people are going to get into this business, and we will be faced with more and more options for our beauty and personal care needs.

These companies play on one single idea that somehow affects people psychologically and then even emotionally.

If You Are Tired Of Different MLMs Companies

Though, the company we will be talking about now is all for women cosmetics, beauty products, and personal care.

I was a distributor for a couple of MLM companies, and I know its not for me. So, I wouldn’t pitch you to join or to buy anything.

This article is written to show you all the pros and cons, and to show you the truth about SeneGence International. Is SeneGence a scam?

SeneGence International is one company among a group of thousand other beauty and cosmetics based companies, which is all in all, only an MLM company.

SeneGence, too, shows itself as a company that wants to do business with people around, grow their business, and earn profits both for itself and the distributors.

How Did It All Start With SeneGence?

It all started way back in April 1999 with a businesswoman named Joni Rogers-Kante. She is the brain behind this organization who has made SeneGence a renowned name today in the industry.

SeneGence is a privately owned American network marketing company headquartered in California. It develops and sells personal care products through an independent sales network.

It expanded in other international markets as well in Canada on November 2001, in Australia in February 2003 and Indonesia and the UK in the year 2011.

In 2016 they had 50,000 distributors selling beauty products, and last year they had over 500,000 distributors – that’s something.

It started with its flagship product LipSense which is a long-lasting liquid lip color with only six lip colors offered initially, a moisturizing lip gloss and a lip color remover were also offered.

The Idea To “Look Good Always

Is SeneGence A Scam

The thing is: these companies always play around with it so much so that consumers are bound to buy them.

Moreover, this needs to have the best products consistently and the need to keep up with society is never going to die.
Not anytime soon, definitely.

There are so many such beauty and cosmetic companies already in the market, so it is challenging to decide which product of a particular company is better than its competitors.

The human mind cannot decide on buying one product from a product range that a company is offering because most of the time they advertise and promote in such a way that most customers want to buy everything especially women customers.

These companies not only toy with women’s minds, but they have not left the males too. They target the male audience with their beauty and grooming products and play with their psychology as well.

What Is The SeneGence International

Following is the definition that the company gives itself.

Senescence – the process of aging
+ Intelligence – the capacity to acquire and apply knowledge
+ Synergy – the working together of two things to produce an effect more significant than the sum of their individual results
= SeneGence – Long-lasting and anti-aging products that really work.

SeneGence has been built on the idea to offer products that have natural ingredients and are environment-friendly.

Below are the claims that they make:

  • No Animal Testing
  • No animal by-products
  • Use of naturally reoccurring natural ingredients
  • Made in cGMP manufacturing facilities
  • Made in the United States for stringent quality control
  • Gluten and GMO-free (most products)
  • LipSense® contains NO WAX & NO LEAD

Product Range That SeneGence Offers

As I wrote before, LipSense is their the best product, but SeneGence has a lot of other products categorized under:

  • Skincare – Includes all the cleansers, moisturizers, eye cosmetics, etc.
  • Anti-aging products – Includes serums, mists, night packs, neck creams, etc.
  • SeneDerm solutions – Includes anti-wrinkle treatment, dark circle under-eye treatment, brightening multivitamin treatment, polishing exfoliators, etc.
  • Face – Includes foundations, concealers, moisturizers, etc.
  • Eyes – Includes lash primer, lash extends, etc.
  • Lips – Includes their patented LipSense liquid lip color, lip glosses, lip balms, etc.
  • Body – Includes lotions, body wash, body scrubs, hand creams, masks, etc.
  • Spa – Includes renewing, and brightening hand cream.
  • Hair – Includes shampoos, conditioners, serums, and sprays.
  • Fragrances – Includes Abundance fresh, bloom, lush and travel trio Perfumes.

They also have the skincare collections that they offer. Actually, SeneGence has similar products like most of MLM beauty companies as JeunesseArbonne, Avon or  Younique.

How Can You Be A Part Of SeneGence
And Make Money Out Of It?

The process is as simple as any other MLM company.

First, you need to pay a sign up of $55 as their Distributor Business Kit fee.

But that’s not it. There are other amounts as well that you will have to pay like $75 worth LIPS Kit, $295 worth Glamour Demo Kit and there is also an optional fee of $550 for Distributor Training Package.

Just like any other MLM company, SeneGence also has two basic steps to earn money:

  1. Getting profits through retail selling online and offline both.
  2. Earning commissions through building up your downlines and from each sale made by them.

Honestly, shelling out money at the beginning itself for sign up fees + all other costs that follow is not a good idea plus it is costly to look at it.

How Is The Compensation Plan
Of SeneGence?

The first thing to know here is as distributors you will have to purchase products every month to qualify for more commissions continually.

Then comes profits from retail sales. Here, you are continually thinking ways as distributors to sell as many products as possible either online or offline.

So, finally comes the commissions from recruiting people.
They have a very complicated Uni-level compensation structure that shows that people in the 1st and 2nd tier still have chances of earning decent profits but people below 2nd tier the gains are negligible.

To make more profits, you have to purchase at least 100PV to earn commission on the first three tiers and 200PV or higher to receive through your five tiers.

I don’t like those kind of jobs, where you depends on others and how they work.

What Is Likable About SeneGence?

There are few things that are pros for SeneGence:

Popular MLM Company:

The Company has been in the business for two decades now, and the products it sells are also quite popular.

Good profits:

They can give 20%-50% commissions, which are not at all bad compared to other MLM companies.

What Is Unlikeable About SeneGence?

There are much more thing that I don’t like:

Slow progress:

Looking at their compensation structure, it proves that for distributors to reach on higher levels or ranks is a slow process.

Overpriced start-up fees:

The total start-up fees come up to $425, and if you wish to get their training package, then it is extra of $550.

Income disclosure statement missing:

This is a huge reason for not trusting SeneGence when it comes to showing how and how much the distributors are actually earning.
It proves that the company is not transparent and not sure of its compensation plan.

A better business opportunity than this is
Affiliate Marketing!

Here there are more chances for earning better income without the hassle of recruiting people. Plus, it involves no costs.

You can promote the products or services of your choice through social media platforms, blogs, websites, etc.; and earn money each time a sale is made through your efforts.

Is SeneGence A Scam?

A company that has been in the business for two decades and is still present in the industry is not a scam. Also, they claim they are members of DSWA and DSA.

But! The Outline wrote that SeneGence’s complicated plan structure could be a red flag showing that the valid MLM marketing company may be closer to an illegal pyramid scheme.

If you look at the image above, this is the naked truth about any MLM company. Only those that are on the top will make money.

Do you know how many people make money from MLM?
Only 1%!!

Though the profits are few, there is still some money which you can earn from doing business with them only if you are consistent and have the patience to do that.

You will need to have minimum 20 – 30 people in your downline to make some money – not much!

However, it is a company which is difficult to be trusted since they have no income disclosure statement to give any proof of the earnings of the distributors. Hence, doing business with them can be avoided.

If you are really interested to make money, I can show you how. I learned how online business works and now, although I’m 3 kids mom, I’m making full income online.

Hello, ladies! I hope you liked this post. I started my online business journey in 2003, worked for others or sign in at wrong programs. A three years ago I started with affiliate marketing, and now I am running my own online business, working from home. So, I can help you to start your own business.

I respect your opinion but people also have the option of selling it without recruiting, it is all up to the individual. I do, however, want to correct you. The sign up fee used to be $55 but it is $65 this year. What you are completely wrong about is saying:

“But that’s not it. There are other amounts as well that you will have to pay like $75 worth LIPS Kit, $295 worth Glamour Demo Kit and there is also an optional fee of $550 for Distributor Training Package.”

and consequently saying an “unlikeable” is

    “Overpriced start-up fees:
The total start-up fees come up to $425, and if you wish to get their training package, then it is extra of $550.”

You do NOT have to pay any other amount but the sign up fee with taxes and S&H. In the past with $55, they would send you a book, some catalogs, forms, and a pretty binder-folder. Today with the sign up fee of $65 with S&H, you still get the previous mentioned items plus 3 colors, a gloss, and an Ooops Remover.

I repeat, you do NEVER had to buy any other Lips Kit or Glamour Demo or anything else at all. That is an option for if you want to. The total sign up fee is $64 + tax + S&H.

I just wanted to make sure that you get the right information out there so you won’t lose credibility when people like me, for example, are reading your page.

Good luck and thank you for your time.
